In honor of International Women’s Day, March 8, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reflected on progress made since the Beijing Platform 15 years ago.  Since then the United States has made women a key issue in foreign policy as a way to ensure global economic progress as well as stability for people the world over. Secretary Clinton underscored that there is still much to do and that we must rededicate ourselves to empowering women around the world.
